As the owner of ProComm Inc. (PCI), I help businesses develop and manage all types of copywriting, marketing communications, public relations and corporate communications projects that achieve goals and produce results.
I also create and coordinate a wide range of original Web and print content for national, regional, local Web sites and publications. I’ve written more than 25,000 articles --- and still counting --- for Web and print media across many industries including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, applied technologies, human resources, marketing, economic development, small business, social media, entrepreneurship, insurance, legal and government issues, leadership, lifestyle, religion and culture.

- Initiated and helped develop public relations initiative positioning a major corporation as an identity theft and fraud prevention resource, which attracted significant attention and coverage from national, regional and local media outlets.
- Created and implemented public relations strategy for non-profit organization that significantly increased public awareness of its services, recruited new members and garnered financial support.
- Assisted with the development and implementation of media relations projects for a firm’s national consumer and business surveys attracting widespread press coverage from The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Bloomberg News, Associated Press, CNN, CNBC and major metro newspapers.
Corporate Communications
Produce a wide range of corporate communications projects designed to deliver clear and concise messages to employees, vendors and shareholders.

- Developed and managed original Web and print content that helped employees understand strategies and support goals of a Fortune 500 global corporation.
- Created and managed a major corporate communications plan for a new benefit program that increased employee enrollment from 4 percent to 12 percent.

Writing and editing
Write and edit all types of original magazine and newsletter articles, byline stories, Web content, columns, executive speeches, media talking points, traditional and search engine optimization (SEO) press releases, SEO Web copy, print and Web marketing communications copy, advertising and promotional copy, social media content, video and podcast scripts, brochures, flyers, presentations, surveys and case studies.

Researched, wrote and edited timely and topical articles for IndustryWeek, an award-winning national magazine and its Web site, industryweek.com. Results included:
- Produced a high volume of original articles, columns and information products that received strong readership levels from magazine and Web subscribers.
- Led or participated in teams that produced information products, which provided strategic and best practice information on production, supply chain management, human resources, information technology and finances for top manufacturing executives.

Business Editor/Writer --- (January 1996 to January 1998), The News-Herald of Mentor.
Managed daily business section and produced articles and projects on businesses and industries for daily newspaper serving Northeast Ohio. Results included:
- As interim business editor, I successfully managed and expanded daily section of the top national, state and local business news.
- Wrote a series of articles that exposed a local investment firm’s fraudulent practices that bilked tens of millions of dollars from investors throughout Ohio and the United States.
- Initiated and developed article ideas on local and regional businesses in the industries of manufacturing, retail, technology, entrepreneurship, economic development, financial services and marketing.

Produced a high volume of news stories, features and human-interest articles on newsworthy events, developments, trends and people throughout Northeast Ohio. Results included:
